剧情简介：The Cask of Amontillado (sometimes spelled "The Casque of Amontillado") is a short story, written by Edgar Allan Poe and first published in the November 1846 issue of Godey's Lady's Book. The story is set in an unnamed Italian city at carnival time in an unspecified year, and is about a man taking fatal revenge on a friend who, he believes, has insulted him. Like several of Poe's stories, and in keeping with the 19th-century fascination with the subject, the narrative revolves around a person being buried alive—in this case, by immurement (a form of imprisonment, in which a person is locked within an enclosed space and all possible exits turned into impassable walls). Revenge turns deadly when the narrator, Montressor, buries his friend, Fortunato, alive as the result of a perceived insult. Like "The Black Cat" and "The Tell-Tale Heart," "The Cask of Amontillado" is remarkable for being conveyed from the murderer's perspective.
