DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT
Ever since I came across Richard McGuire’s fantastic graphic novel I was obsessed with it. Through an apparently simple mechanic he managed to take the form in an entirely new direction and create an incredibly poignant piece about, well, pretty much everything. Transposing this from one medium into a very different one is a thrilling challenge.
