剧情简介：ThiscolorpropagandafilmdocumentaryaccountoftheCommunistconquestofChinabeginsin1929(allarchivefootage)whenMaoTse-TungandhissmallarmyheldonlyafewcitiesinthenorthernpartofChina.Thebandofrevolutionariesincreasedwhenthepoverty-strickencitizensjoinedtheCommunistranksinaresponsetopromisesoflandreformsandrelief.WhenJapanattackedthecountryin1937,itwasMao'sCommunistarmy,accordingtothisfilm,whichtookthebruntofthedefensefightingwithancientweapons.WhenWorldWarIIended,theCommunistsbegantheirsurgetotakeoverChina.Alltheimportantcitiesfelltotherebels.EquipmentsentbytheUnitedStatesforthedefenseofNationalistChinafellintothehandsofMao'sarmy.TheKomintangintimewaspushedtotheborderofVietNamandvictorywenttoMaowhiletheremnantsofCgiang'sarmyescapedtotheislandofFormosa.
