《Alice》是1976年CBS同名喜剧的重启版（旧版改编自电影《曾经沧海难为水 Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore》），新版由Diablo Cody及Liz Astrof主创兼执肇，讲述长岛家庭主妇Alice Hyatt终于鼓起勇气离开那搞外遇的丈夫，并与儿子Tommy一起搬到亚利桑那州。Alice在这儿当起路边餐厅的侍应，而餐厅的员工成了主角二人的新家人们。

Co-written by director Gabriel Novis and its titular protagonist, this stunning sun-soaked film takes us on a journey from darkness to light. Inspired to surf by the memory of her father, whom she lost to suicide, Alice finds her love for the sport tainted by the toxic, transphobic responses to her presence by other surfers. Despite this conservative environment, and the well-documented discrimination and violence against the trans community in Brazil, we see Alice journeying towards her full self - living joyfully and surrounded by trans-affirming friendships.
