After two boys are found dead and scalped in a remote cabin, a corrupt police chief puts the blame on an innocent indigenous man. Charlie Miton, who left this town a decade ago and never thought he'd come back, returns to help clear the name of his friend and find the truth.

In a bourgeois, intellectual, and elitist Paris, three sisters who couldn't be more different are going through a period of doubt and self-reflection. The eldest is caught up in a torrid affair with a female painter. The middle one is bored with her introverted computer scientist partner. The youngest is emerging from the grief of losing her fiancé. It's autumn, Christmas is approaching, and each of them longs to change everything in her life.

One fall day, two lovers in their seventies return to a small provincial town. Each of their steps brings them closer to the event that changed their lives sixty years earlier. They will knock on the door of Roland, a bitter and taciturn old man, and thus confront once and for all a family drama that time and silence have not managed to erase.

A man and a woman who loved each other find themselves in a cemetery. He is here to attend the funeral of his grandmother, she let herself be lured by this place without really knowing why. The man's parents, who have come to pour out their reproaches, gravitate around the lovers who desire each other and inevitably get closer. But what did they really experience? And do they still have something to live for?

Il film racconta la storia di una famiglia in cui si rispecchiano i conflitti della società contemporanea algerina. Djihad, il figlio maggiore, collabora al sostentamento della famiglia suonando in un nightclub; il fratello Hakim, fondamentalista, trascorre il tempo alla moschea. I rapporti tra tolleranza e fondamentalismo sono sempre più difficili in ambienti ed in atmosfere familiari dove spesso regnano frustrazione ed insoddisfazione. Ed i pericoli e le conseguenze dell'intolleranza crescente sono sempre in agguato.
