Three women, three generations, one island... an island to fall in love with! After the death of her Indian grandmother, influencer Jenny convinces her mother and sister to go to Bali with her. They are completely different and each of the women come to the island with their own motivation and questions. While Jenny tries to save her career, Dewi mainly wants to look for her roots and Cornelie hopes that the journey will bring her and her daughters closer together. Through the search for a family legend, not only an old love story unfolds amid the colorful Indonesian culture, but new loves unexpectedly arise.

Chhedhi returns to his village in Bihar and impresses everyone, including his simple and naive cousin, Mangru, with tales of his prosperity in Mumbai. After he returns, Ramdayal, Mangru`s dad, enraged with his son for giving money away to the needy, asks him to join Chhedhi and prosper. Mangru accordingly re-locates and is shocked to find him living in Bharat Nagar`s slum in Andheri and driving an auto-rickshaw. Suspecting a shortage of clothes, he then attempts to coerce young scantily clad women, including Urvashi, to wear traditional clothing, and is beaten by a mob. Then his life undergoes a major change when he must face off against an extortionist, Babubhai; and a manipulative builder, Subodh.

Based on the 2002 terrorist attacks on Bali's tourist hotspots, explores how everyday heroes from Bali, Australia and beyond defied the odds to bring order from chaos and hope from despair.

A look at Bali, in the Dutch East Indies, 90 miles long, 45 miles wide, and home to a million people. After a quick reference to its history, we see its rice paddies, markets, and fishing. Rice is a cash crop, and the distribution of wealth, according to the narrator, is the most equal in the world. Girls dance at the temples, from age four to fourteen.
