As the long-awaited summer holidays begin, Candy and her friends go hiking in the mountains. However, a heavy rainstorm interrupts their leisure, making them hide in the forest. After the rain has stopped, the friends are ready to proceed, but Candy gets herself into some serious trouble when she encounters a cute bear cub.

Joe, a teenage suburban boy, meets and instantly falls in love with a seemingly innocent young girl from his home town who now lives in London. As their impromptu encounter continues, Joe realizes her situation is much darker then he could have imagined.

Bravo has put into development Candy, a one-hour drama from Ben Cory Jones, currently a writer on HBO’s Insecure and WGN America’s Underground. Ross Fineman (Amazon’s Goliath) is aboard as executive producer of the project, which hails from Universal Cable Productions. The plot centers on the youngest and first African American female mayor as she navigates the treacherous political terrains of one of America’s most violent and poorest cities while balancing her marriage and an illicit affair. The city, the school system, a group of disenfranchised high schoolers and Candy are all in varying degrees of crisis, putting her and the city’s future in jeopardy. She will either become a player on the big stage, or die trying.

It is terrific that such ornate things are produced, on top of that by machine, and add appetizing and purchase-promoting properties to them.
