After spending 4 years in prison for drug trafficking, Dino tastes fame by interpreting the godfather of the mafia in the TV series Omerta. Now 72 years old, he's preparing for a role that could be his last. Somewhere between reality and fiction, My Friend Dino offers a special access to the universe of this likable anarchist.

It's nighttime in Prague, 21 August 1968. Soviet troops and tanks are occupying the city - random attacks, soldiers shooting, bodies lying dead on the sidewalk. With an impromptu crew, the director (Karel Roden) captures some unique evidence - material which is, however, worthless in occupied Prague; it has to be shown to the rest of the world. So, while the Soviets are concocting false reports of heartfelt receptions without military resistance for propaganda purposes, the director sets off on a risky trip across the closed Czech-Austrian border to Vienna.

Bandit Dino was once considered a man capable of ruthlessly knocking out debts from anyone. The 90s are long over, and now he lives as a hermit in a remote province. However, due to circumstances, Dino is forced to return to the big city to his old "profession", but now he has to pay off his debts.

A juvenile delinquent on parole receives support from a social worker and a girl from a slum.

On board of Atlas, a flying ship, Dino, Kika, Lip and Cacau travel above the clouds in a magical universe, where imagination is the limit. The gang is always willing to get in an adventure to help their friends of this fantastic world.
