Frida is 11 years old and on the threshold of adolescence. Her older sister Kaisa is into boys and sticky, romantic youth magazines. Frida thinks Kaisa is behaving very stupidly and she herself has never intended to be like that.

Narrated by Sada Thompson and commentary written by Hayden Herrera, this documentary explores Kahlo as the center of the Mexican renaissance of the 1920s and 1930s.
