A rabbit, a badger, and a grass snake find a piece of gingerbread in the woods.

"Peppermint Gingerbread" is two stories – two lives. One is extremely sweet and cloying, like a Christmas fairy tale, the second is scary to the point of goosebumps and realistic, like life itself. A life full of children's and adult emotions, experiences and fears, feelings of anxiety and joy. Who is destined to become an orphan with a living mother, and who is ready to find the closest person on earth – mom by faith alone?

Even children in an over-technified civilization need fairy tales, and Mrs. Fairy Tale invites them into her world. The woodcutter goes to the forest with his children, Hansel and Gretel. While their father works, the children pick strawberries. However, they get lost deep into the forest and lose their way back. After a sinister night, they find themselves in front of a honey gingerbread house. While peeling gingerbread, the witch catches them: she locks the skinny Hansel in a cage to fatten him up, and makes the plump Gretel her helper. However, benevolent angels watch over both children, appearing to them in their dreams and giving them hope for salvation.

Successful architect Taylor Scott is poised for a promotion and a move to Paris but before that’s decided, her boss tasks her with creating a life-sized gingerbread house for a holiday competition. She partners with pastry chef Adam Dale, and though their styles are different, they form a deep connection working together.

Top bakers compete in gingerbread building challenges, creating edible miniature worlds with lights, motion, and intricate details. Teams face weekly tests of design, structure, and creativity in this festive holiday competition.

Part 4 of the Theater Dramatica series, it adapts a story inspired by Hansel & Gretel. It ran from August 23-September 8th, 2024.
