The story of how Lady Godiva came to ride naked through the streets of Coventry.

Marjory Clark wins a competition in her Midland town and finds herself in a Festival of Britain procession as Lady Godiva - though not in the buff. This leads by way of a suspect beauty competition to the show-business world of London. But it could be a slippery slope for simple home-town Marge.

Ancient English legend. The early Middle Ages: Lady Godiva was a noblewoman, who according to the legend, took pity on the people of Coventry, who were suffering grievously under her husband's oppressive taxation, and rode naked through the streets of Coventry, in England, in order to gain a remission of the oppressive taxation imposed by her husband on his tenants.

Theres trouble brewing in Downtown Coventry. Mobster, Ray Carlton has a dreamcasinos! Hes got dirt on the local Mayor, Derek Osbourne and he wants his pound of flesh. In return for not flushing him down the toilet, Carlton has the Mayor greasing the way for a super casino on the site of the park where Lady Godiva actually rode!

While scanning Playgirl, our young heroines are discussing the doing away with the conservative band and instituting a new tradition at Godiva High; a Disco Party. But how to convince Miss Lena, the headmistress? The school psychologist lets them know how(wink)! Through one of the boys who just happens to be her gardener. Convincing her is not "hard". Our heroine, Kitsy directs her girls in the fine art of extricating what is needed , from the men & boys, to make this "Graduation Disco Party" one of the best memories of the young girls lives. Godiva's is a Canadian television comedy-drama series, which debuted on Bravo! and Citytv in 2005; each episode is one hour in length. It completed a successful two-season run in 2006, but though the show received rave reviews, it was cancelled by CHUM broadcasting. There are currently attempts at getting a third season made.The series was created by Michael MacLennan with Julia Keatley of Keatley Entertainment. The series was nominated for numerous Gemini Awards including Best Series. It was celebrated for its intelligent, fast-paced depiction of young Canadians in the restaurant industry.
