Set in 1952, film tells the story of young musicians playing - then forbidden - jazz music in basements and attics around Poland. The group hires itself to social parties, youth dances, etc, each time waiting for the management to disappear in order to shift gears to hot music. The crowd either loves it or does not know what to do. Occasionally they are harassed by the police.

A look at the history of jazz, which has its origins in the music of Africans enslaved to North America 300 years ago.

Lithuania, 1968. After serving in the Soviet Army, Lukas comes back from Prague to his friends: Andrius, a state prosecutor's son, Julius, an unsuccessful artist, and Beatrice, who is attractive to all of her friends in her purity.

It is history of the difficult and at the same time amusing relations which arose between the man and three women. The hero - the successful young man possessing rare male charm and, respectively, ability to be pleasant to all women without exception, irrespective of their age and situation in society. The heroine - the girl of 26 years who steeped in work, disappointed in love lives according to the habitual scheme "house-work-house" day by day and doesn't dream of female happiness any more. It would seem, between them "the love with the happy end" has to flash, but - it meets her younger sister and her mother, still real beauty. Undoubtedly, with time and they appear in the power of charm of the main character. So to whom from three women at it the real feelings?

When Morten makes fun of a female listener on his jazz radio show, she shows up at the radio station and refuses to leave until he apologizes. Together, they embark on a jazzy road trip through the streets of Copenhagen, while an unexpected friendship takes shape.

"Jazz Seen" is an exploration of the life of William Claxton, whose photographs turned the world of jazz on its keen and perceptive ear. Various jazz artists, photographers, and actors recount memories they had with Claxton and explore his work, while parts of his life are re-enacted by actors.
