Manila, Philippines. The loving American father Louis Halliburton desperate attempts to save his son from ruthless kidnappers. He is unable to do it alone and so calls up his wife's former lover, an ex-FBI agent to assist. Unfortunately, the former agent is devious and greedy. 少女嘟嘟（邬祯琳 饰）逃离了老爸（张光北 饰）的严管去参加cosplay聚会，还未上场就遭一个蒙面人大勇（艾俊龙 饰）打劫，嘟嘟晕倒，大勇摆脱不了叫来朋友阿凯（张默 饰）帮忙，两人将嘟嘟弄到阿凯的摄影工作室，不料，嘟嘟醒来后死缠活磨软硬兼施，一场绑架成了大勇和阿凯的灾难，两人好言好语将嘟嘟送走。沮丧之极的大勇和阿凯还没来缓过劲，大勇的债主弹头（姜武 饰）找上门，一番戏谑后，弹头将大勇绑架让阿凯筹钱赎人。嘟嘟找手机回到摄影工作室，得知大勇因玩网络游戏赌博欠债被弹头绑架，自告奋勇要解救大勇。弹头的黑网吧里，一群cosplay玩家同嘟嘟比试网游纷纷落败，嘟嘟揭穿弹头作弊的手段，解读网游制胜的秘诀，并奉劝大家不要沉溺于网游，嘟嘟被大家崇拜。 　　弹头对嘟嘟怀恨在心，无意中发现了嘟嘟的身份，伺机报复。 　　交往中，阿凯发现了嘟嘟和嘟嘟爸之间的秘密。阿凯大勇为之动容。 　　阿凯和大勇答应帮嘟嘟参加家长会作为答谢，冒充嘟嘟老爸的阿凯在家长会上慷慨陈词，受到追崇。大家举行party庆祝家长会成功，大勇突然接到嘟嘟老爸的电话，请求大勇放了嘟嘟，原来一开始嘟嘟用大勇的手机偷偷发过信息求救，嘟嘟爸将大勇当做了绑匪。阿凯责备大勇，大勇哭丧惊慌，两人商量后决定陪同嘟嘟回家当面向嘟嘟老爸解释清楚，才能洗脱绑匪的罪责。说服嘟嘟，两人庆幸还能挽回局面，不料，嘟嘟不见了，恐慌中两人来到嘟嘟，两人解释不清，正在纠结难解，弹头打来电话要嘟嘟爸赎人，嘟嘟爸回想起一段历史恩怨，原来，嘟嘟爸十年前办理过一个案子，被告人败诉后跳楼身亡，这个人就是弹头的父亲，嘟嘟爸出于人道向家属道歉，弹头对嘟嘟爸怀怨已久。 　　绑架现场，弹头气急败坏要挟嘟嘟爸还清十年前欠下的恩仇，嘟嘟爸只求弹头放过嘟嘟，毅然跳下了高楼……嘟嘟痛不欲生，阿凯向嘟嘟讲述了她和老爸之间的秘密，弹头也因为这个秘密被警方很轻松抓捕归案。
