The story goes that Maria’s father is presumed dead and some four million dollars left in his care are unaccounted for. Maria’s elusive sister Liz (Danièle Gegauff, a producer on Out 1 and star of a single Chabrol film) summons Maria and Joe (Liz’s boyfriend) but fails to show up herself, so these two meet and go on an adventure together. Liz shows up briefly, along with a bunch more characters, each of whom want to help either Maria or her possibly-alive father, or more likely, want a share of the money. Most suspicious is Shirley (Sylvie Matton, whose husband directed her and Udo Kier in his adult horror Spermula), who is possibly either Liz’s best friend, the father’s ex-lover, Joe’s sister or none of the above. The movie seems to fits neatly in the Rivette filmography, with on-camera musicians like predecessor Duelle, and a couple of characters chasing around the country trying to solve a possibly imagined mystery a la follow-up Pont du Nord. But there are some wrinkles. The grasp on the mystery is soon lost and Joe and Maria ramble, their relationship growing increasingly unpleasant, then the plot returns with a puzzling vengeance in the last half hour. Plus there are unexplained fantasy scenes, with Joe and a suspiciously Maria-like girl (played by Hermine Karagheuz, Marie in Out 1) chasing each other through forests and deserts, with appearances by snakes, rifles and a mounted armored knight.

Olivia Weigert lost her daughter and one leg two years ago in an accident caused by Hannes Finke. None of them had yet recovered from the tragedy. Hannes needs surgery. But who will take care of your daughter until then?

starts the freak-out well enough with a trio of art school meditations that don't really make much sense singularly, let alone as a cohesive unit. In the first segment, a typical looking young lady pays a visit to a pornographer who, as any good pornographer does, gets her to masturbate on an American flag. Next, a red-headed gal with ropes wrapped around her lays on the rocky shore of a beach, distraught and intent on ending her life. As the tide comes in, said redhead reminisces about past sexual relationships. Apparently, they bummed her out a bit. Lastly, a writer, exhausted from typing, takes a much needed nap. As he sleeps, he dreams of 2 lovely nude cuties running around with each other on the beach who beckon to him. Upon waking, he decides to head out to the beach to get his thoughts straight. While walking the shore, he sees the 2 ladies that he was dreaming of reaching to him from a rocky alcove. He freaks the fuck out and runs straight to the loony bin, where he has insanity drenched sex antics with 2 fellow inmates, who may or may not be the girls he had dreamed of earlier; it's difficult to tell. The end. At 54 minutes, Ramage (Mobility Cathexis) runs a little long, but overall is an interesting watch in its own right.

Al and Elsa have been a couple for some time, but the chances that their relationship will be long-lived are few. For one thing, Al is appallingly dependent on Elsa for his every emotional need. For another, Elsa is an incredibly elusive person, extremely difficult to pin down about anything - especially whatever is bothering her. How they have managed to survive this long is a cause for wonder. When Al gets an opportunity to be cast in a movie role, complete with no-cost occupancy in the casting agent's ugly but fashionable apartment, he jumps at the chance to provide a little material satisfaction for his beloved Elsa. But what exactly does she want?
