A dimension-shifting mime player is disturbed in his peace by a student fraternity. His response is unexpected: by using the fourth wall, he turns their world on its head; literally. However, his powers are useless to achieve romance.

Life of a Mime explores a day in which the performance never ends. A nameless entertainer, the titular mime can't catch a break. Beginning with an unenthusiastic crowd his day goes from bad to worse as he contends with a society that doesn't seem to quite understand nor tolerate him. Things then take a turn for the drastic when he arrives home, penniless. Come and enjoy this dark comedy which shows that a day in the Life of a Mime isn't always so black and white.

姚尚德是一位来自台湾的默剧表演艺术家。他有着丰富的舞台表演经验。2011 年，他突然决定开启他的个人街头默剧表演项目“默剧出走”。他认为相比在一成不变的剧场中进行表演，他会更愿意在街头表演他的默剧艺术。他认为表演艺术就应该进入到每一个普通人的日常生活中去。他也 试图用这种表演形式教人们如何敞开心扉，去接受周围的陌生人。而对于陌生人莫名的恐惧，一直是他这十几年来无法战胜的心魔。他正试图用这样的艺术表演形式，对自己的过去开展一场自我救赎。

在漆黑的地铁通道里，一个女孩背着挎包正走着。突然，她察觉到有人在跟踪自己，而就在这时，她的挎包不慎掉落在了地上……

影片的开头是一个古典默剧打扮的男子，他带着黑色的帽子，穿着黑白条的衣服，脸上涂的煞白，几乎看不到任何表情。少顷桌子的另一头有个看似警方的人员坐了下来，警员似乎面带疲惫，他提议从头回顾默剧演员之前的遭遇。镜头一转回到大街上，默剧演员牵着一条看不见的狗逛街，在拐角出现些和一名女子撞到。简单交谈后，女子给他留下了电话号码。在此之后，他们的关系进展很快，默剧演员向对方求爱，两人走进浪漫的殿堂。但是再美好的故事都有尽头，他们的关系渐渐恶化，女子仿佛被他传染一样沉迷于默剧，他们的故事一发不可收拾……
