Musashi returns Japan's legendary swordsman and philosopher to the screen once again. In an original period drama based on the historical facts of the life and travels of the famous Miyamoto Musashi we find an apprentice, an instructor and the account of a famous battle in Japan of the Middle Ages where many questions will be answered.

Sequel to Grander Musashi. A young but experienced fisherman named Musashi Kazama and his two friends travel around the world in search of seven mysterious objects of fantastic power called “Legenders“, each one in the form of a fish. Legenders are said to grant anyone who catches them the power to change the world. Unfortunately, Musashi ends up competing with several other fishermen who share his ambition of capturing a Legender.

Master Mew sends Musashi into the heart of evil Gandrake Enterprises to rescue the captured Princess Mycella and thereby save the world.

The animation was produced for the Tezuka Osamu Manga Museum, thus it features scenes from the "life and nature" of Tezuka Osamu's childhood, themes that are central to the museum as a whole, through exchanges between the boy Osamu and the carabid beetle (Osamushi) who provided the origin for the artist's name.

In the 16th Year of Keityo (1611), the lord of Ogura Castle in Kyushu admitted Sasaki Kojiro's because of his great sword techniques. However, a group within the feudal clan which supported to use guns considered Kojiro an obstacle in their goals and has the well-known ronin, Miyamoto Musashi, fight him. Now because of political gain and greed, two honorable men are to fight to the death on Ganryu Island.

武藏 MUSASHI是NHK在2003年制播的大河剧，放送期间是2003年1月5日 - 12月7日。 本剧以吉川英治的《宫本武藏》做为原作，原作原本只写到巖流岛决斗而已，而本剧则是在后半部份衍生出巖流岛以后的故事。在巖流岛决斗的那一集，用了三十臺摄影机，尝试制作出特殊的效果。 在每一回的标题裡，决大部份都用了惊嘆号「！」。起初宣佈以市川新之助（现在为市川海老藏）、米仓凉子、松冈昌宏为主角，又请来顏尼欧・莫利克奈作音乐，喧腾一时，极有话题性。但是开演之后，收视率每况愈下，到后来可说欲振乏力。包括女主角米仓凉子等演员与编剧鎌田敏夫等人，将整齣戏包装得像是偶像剧一般，而这也正是前一齣大河剧「利家与松」被批评詬病的部份所在。

1999年，坠落地球的巨大陨石夺去了整个海洋。与此同时，地球外生物WORM亦开始在世界各地繁殖。为了对抗在一瞬间支配了广泛地区的WORM，人类成立了对WORM组织ZECT。ZECT开发出幪面超人系统，投入战场与WORM展开激战，时间就在这场战争中渡过了七年。2006年，在这个沙漠化的地球上，部分ZECT的成员因为不满组织的束缚而结成独立团体NEO ZECT，而ZECT亦开始对这群背叛者进行肃清。就在这时，天道总司，即是假面骑士KABUTO的出现，令战局产生极大变化。ZECT总部得到一颗巨型冰块彗星正在接近地球，于是提出'天空之梯子计划'，于大气层的太空站设置巨型CLOCK UP机器，制造转移空间把彗星拉往地球，制造出莫大的水源。透过这个计划，ZECT的权力就会越趋庞大，足以支配地球。ZECT利用连接地球和宇宙的轨道电梯发动'天空之梯子计划'，而从天道手上得知这项情报的NEO ZECT，亦决定抢夺这个计划，压抑ZECT继续增大权力。为了组织而战的ZECT战士大和铁骑与矢车想;为了自由而战的NEO ZECT战士织田秀成和风间大介;为了最爱的日和而战的加贺美新，还有目的完全不明的天道总司;以及身份神秘的黄金假面骑士。在各人思想交错的漩涡中，假面骑士的战斗已延伸到浩瀚宇宙…
