Made within 48 hours, 'The Omelette' tells the story of a detective that sees each crime they investigate as a meal to prepare and each suspect as an ingredient. What will they cook up this time?

Jürgen Frenzen catches his wife in bed with Rudi Treitschke whom he scares shooting a blank, but next morning is found fatally shot in the head himself with a Russian military sharpshooter rifle, hard to get by, except for Hansen-Hansen. Frenzen's supervisor calls him a tip-notch food quality inspector, who hinted at a scandal in one of tree firms he recently visited: an industrial bakery, the hen farm of Katrin's former school crush a marmalade-factory. Frenzen's expensive life style on a modest state salary suggests bribery.

Victor is attracted to Philip's wife. Phil is attracted to Victor's wife. Victor and Filip are neighbors, but above all, friends.

本片是加州艺术学院CalArts学生Madeline Sharafian的动画作品。一只宠物狗独自无聊地待在家里，当时间一到主人下班的那一刻，它就变得特别兴奋，叼着主人的拖鞋等在家门口。主人一脸忧郁地回到家里，正如屋外阴雨连绵的天气一样，他没精打采地打开冰箱拿出食材打算做晚餐，也没正眼瞧过小狗。小狗担忧地看着主人打蛋，当他走开时悄悄挑出蛋壳；当主人把炉子的火开到最大时，它趁主人不注意关小了炉火；眼看主人拿着菜刀准备切到手时，小狗机灵地撂倒垃圾箱引开主人，暗自为主人继续完成煎蛋饼，整个过程一气呵成却又时时提心吊胆。当主人处理好垃圾，看到桌上放着一份热乎乎的煎蛋饼时，他没有怀疑地拿起就吃。但咬下去的第一口，他吃到了一个奇怪的东西，这时他才发现心爱的小狗一直给他无限温暖……
