A baron, nicknamed Paolo il caldo (Paul the Hot One) because of his womanizing, asks his son, on his deathbed, to leave women alone and only think about work. The son tries hard but only gets into trouble.

Paolo’s ordinary working-class existence is upended when he encounters the ambitious, and magnetic local politician Téophane, an old school mate. What begins as admiration and a desire to help Téophane’s campaign, soon spirals into an all-consuming obsession, leading to a deadly ride in this intense psychological Ripley-style thriller.

Documentary follows the life and work of Italian singer and composer Paolo Conte.

In the summer of 1959, as a magazine correspondent, writer and filmmaker Pier Paolo Pasolini (1922-75) traveled along the Italian coast. In 1963, he documented the sexual behavior of the Italians. In the winter of 1970-71, he witnessed the hardships of the most impoverished Italian population suffering from the boot of state power. After these three trips, he came to the conclusion that Italian society had changed drastically for the worse over the years.

Pier Paolo Pasolini was an Italian writer and filmmaker. In interview footage, Pasolini is seen explaining his filmmaking philosophy. While Pasolini's words are read in voice over, the Italian settings of Pasolini's films are shown. In clips from his films, viewers can experience examples of Pasolini's filmmaking art. Commentators illuminate the connection between Pasolini's life and his art.
