A young girl is rendered homeless and helpless after her cruel relatives chase her out of her home. She finds shelter with a poor street performer who lives with his two children, a dog and a monkey.

The show is based on the story of a middle-class girl Radha, who goes through the hardships of survival, education, and employment to support her poor family. Since the father has abandoned them (died), Radha has taken upon the responsibility of supporting her family and the education of her two younger siblings. She, in fact, is the only earning member and her immediate brother, though married lives off her earnings. The family, conditioned to this does not want her to get married and go away as that will mean that their support system is going away. Her neighborhood childhood friend, Mohit is her only source of support and there are possibilities of them get married if he can fulfill her mother's conditions of making at least . The dilemma is: Will Radha ever find her man in life and will she ever abandon her family?

Star Plus is bringing to the crowd another show Ravivaar With Star Parivaar Season 2022 to allow the watchers to invest more energy with their #1 sequential stars. Raviwar With Star Pariwar (RWSP) is the name of the impending show and supplanting Smart Jodi after it's finale episode is going. The new show RSP's idea has not been uncovered at this point. Alaxmi Ka Super Parivaar, formerly known as Alaxmi - Hamari Super Bahu, is a family drama which airs on Life OK. It is based on the popular Bengali serial, Songsar Sukher Hoy Romonir Gune, that airs on Star Jalsa.The show is doing average by gaining TRPs but is doing better than any other show at the 9 p.m. slot on Life OK, since the channel's launch. It was earlier decided to go off air but at the eleventh hour, it got three months extension. It turned from daily to weeekly one hour show. From 27th Oct 2012 it started airing every Sat-Sun 7.00 PM. With the change in time slot, the title also changed. It is now titled as Alaxmi Ka Super Parivaar.
