When tragedy strikes a small coastal town, those effected must decide to either pick up the pieces and confront their own misgivings or allow the cycle to continue.

Shattered by the experience of war ex-soldier Darren finds himself back in England and disenfranchised by a society struggling to find an identity. His best friend Paul has moved away to university while his other friend Gary has joined the extremist ranks of the far right National Defence League. Even Paul's teenage brother, Billy, is a changed character from the young boy Darren used to know, one who is now edging towards a mind-set of violence and hate as he comes of age. Darren's former girlfriend, Sophie, has also grown distant. She doesn't want to know him despite his desperate determination to engage. Unknown to him her mind is pre-occupied with problems of her own - namely a secret one night stand with one of his best friends that has left her with a decision to make and a responsibility to face. His only connection is with his estranged grandfather, Graham.

Young Bernick and Johan Tonnesen are close friends, living in Norway. Bernick is engaged to marry Johan's sister, who is an heiress. He is simply marring her for her money, as he is really in love with the wife of an actor. While on a visit to his old love, in which he hopes to break off the affair, the woman's husband unexpectedly enters the room, and Bernick is compelled to escape by the window. Johan, upon learning of his friend's threatened disgrace, assumes Bernick's guilt, and leaves the country for America. Bernick takes advantage of his friend's chivalry by allowing it to be generally believed that Johan also misappropriated funds. In reality, Bernick was guilty of this crime as well as the other.

Four Pillars of Basement is a psycho thriller that shows human fragilities and capricious nature. Protagonist Samir is a conniving person and works as a security officer at the mall. He has a crush on Priya, working in one of the offices in the mall. His twin brother, a lunatic and a mad person elopes to the mental hospital to add more confusion to the plot. The movie unfolds dramatically as the heroine is trapped in the basement and is unable to get out. Whosoever comes to help her, meets with a tragic death. In the climax, will the hero of the movie- as the twin lunatic be held responsible? Will the security officer be punished?
