In Portugal, during the night of April 24-25, 1974, a peaceful uprising put an end to the last government of the Estado Novo, the authoritarian regime established in 1933 by dictator António de Oliveira Salazar (1889-1970), paving the way for full democracy: a chronicle of the Carnation Revolution.

Karina and Martin are in a pleasent relation where everyday life flows in an effortlessly accustomed way and no small misbehaviours can shake it’s rush. Life is good. Karina is a venturous and loving wife to her partner, seeking for some extra thrill. On her initiative, the family has been planning to borrow her brother's old travel caravan, pack their trunks and head out to a summer holiday in the south. But the plans take a different turn when Karina's suspicion about her dentist partner's affair turns out to be real. This starts her on an adventurous journey that is witty, utterly humane, full of blunders and chances to start again, with colourful characters whose only aim is to find happiness.

During the Portuguese Colonial War (1961-1974), thousands of Africans fought alongside the Portuguese Armed Forces and risked their lives for a homeland they believed was their own. After the Carnation Revolution, however, they were left behind. Persecuted and killed, the Portuguese Guinean commandos suffered the worst of Portugal’s abandonment. Nearly 50 years later, they tell their story for the first time and accuse the Portuguese state of betrayal.

Five public figures are challenged by “Taskmaster” Vasco Palmeirim and his assistant Nuno Markl to overcome a series of fun tests with a small dose of madness.
