Escaping the fallout of a personal cataclysmic event, Charlie, a young Australian Aboriginal woman, finds herself at the centre of a mismatched community of doomsday preppers.

Directed by Damian Apunte and Adam Fiske, Preppers follows two roommates, Allison and Ben, having to face life, death, love, and survival during a doomsday chemical strike. With the air tainted outside, they are holed up in their apartment trying to survive while challenging each other's patience, fears, values, and dreams. Allison is the 'prepper' while Ben is carefree in life, which forces these dueling characters to try to find a way to work together. As they fight to survive, they are challenged with a rekindled romance all while their impending fate forces them to question everything.

Doomsday Preppers is an American documentary television series that airs on the National Geographic Channel. The program follows various survivalists, or "preppers," preparing for the end of civilization. The series interviews people who are preparing to survive the various circumstances through which life as we know it might come to an end, including economic collapse, societal collapse, electromagnetic pulse, terrorist acts, fuel shortages, war, pandemics, etc. The interviews detail the actions that the preppers have taken, and end with an expert analysis and recommendations for improvements.
