Qbert was a segment of the "Saturday Supercade" cartoon series that featured video game characters from the golden age of video arcade games. The Qbert cartoon took place in the 1950s-inspired town of QBerg, where a teenage fur-covered creature named Qbert, his girlfriend QTee, his brother QBit and his friends must contend with the resident bullies Coily, Ugg, Wrong Way and Viper.

Albert Teixidó (Bert) travels to the island of Mallorca after receiving a mysterious letter from his childhood friend Bernardo, who disappeared months earlier in the Tramontana mountains. On the island, he searches for clues to locate his friend, clues that will lead him to reveal forgotten events from the past and coincidences from the present, provoking Bert's obsession with continuing the search. This all culminates in an obsessive and metaphorical initiatory journey into the unknown.

Bert has just turned 14 and he just got dumped by his girlfriend. He decides to try to find love again but encounters different obstacles, such as hot guitar guys, embarrassing parents and sudden pimple outbreaks.

The film takes place during the weeks that best pals Bert and Åke are going to do prao. Åke does his at Bert's father's optician's shop, while Bert has landed at restaurant Tippen. Here, Klimpen and, more importantly, Molly also do prao. Both Bert and Åke are in love with Molly. Molly seems to like Bert. And Åke? He has no idea. Difficult questions, dilemmas and intricate lies pile up to finally explode and Bert risks losing both his best friend and his great love.

Leila is the girl that everyone is in love with. Bert is in the same class as Amira, the little sister to Leila, and he sees his opportunity to approach Leila through friendship with Amira.
