The near future. Every night the media show new reports about war and terror which constantly loom like a dark cloud over the nation. To protect the citizens from possible air attacks the GNOSIS Corporation has developed a personal bomb shelter for everyone - the new BS-2016. While nearly every household in the city has one installed already, 12 year old Alex is still begging his dad to finally buy one so he can feel safe. As the air raid alarms go off that night and lights from exploding rockets gloom in the dark skies it seems too late: Alex has to face his fears and soon discovers a dark conspiracy that not only threatens his life but the life of his whole family as well.

Shannon Sadler faces a parent’s worst nightmare when his 18-year-old daughter, Mattie, goes missing over the Christmas holiday. An intense investigation ensues, and the determined Detective Truely takes on the case. Her main lead becomes Mattie’s boyfriend after he’s found covered in blood. But it soon becomes evident that there is more to the story than initially thought, and as Detective Truely sorts through the evidence navigating the twists and turns of the case, it slowly spirals out of her control. Meanwhile, with Shannon knowing that his daughter’s life is at stake, he decides that he has no choice but to take matters into his own hands. Leaning on his military past to do what is necessary, will Shannon find his daughter, or will Detective Truely solve the case before another life is taken?

This documentary, originally broadcast on the PBS series 'P.O.V.', explores three places considered sacred by Native Americans: Devils Tower in Wyoming, the Colorado Plateau in the Southwest, and Mount Shasta in California. The Lakota, Hopi, and Wintu people who traditionally care for these areas still struggle to co-exist with non-Natives who have very different ideas about land, culture, and what is sacred.
