The same process was repeated with the team of brothers herded offstage, and Faso asking the girls a series of questions. The team leading at the end of the second round got to run the "Pick-a-Prize Arcade" for bonus prizes. Each sibling got to run the "Arcade" separately, choosing six prizes from a possible 10 he/she believed his/her sibling chose for them; 10 matches won them every prize on stage. While most shows featured brother-sister teams, others featured sibling teams of the same sex and others had youthful stars of NBC shows playing with their real-life brothers or sisters.

Hubert Abercrombie Gumm, a flighty, eccentric screwball acquires a job as an executive at a radio station at the insistence of his only-slightly less eccentric aunt Fannie Handley, who is married to one of the company owners. After mixing up the script pages to the various radio programs, Hubert sets out to get the name of a returning explorer on a contract for the radio station. Other than the title, this film has no connection at all to the 1934 W.C. Fields film of the same title even though some sources give the plot of the Fields' film as the plot of this film.

The show featured children's book author Tomie dePaola and his Muppet friend Gabe the squirrel, encouraging children to make their own stories in a variety of media. In each episode, Tomie told a story featuring his storybook characters Strega Nona, Big Anthony and Bambolona. Gabe visited The Animal Band, a group of woodland creatures, including a rabbit on drums, a weasel on guitar, a penguin on bass, and a raccoon on keytar. Each episode also featured a visit with a guest storyteller or two (often people connected to the Jim Henson Company). The final segment of each episode included a child actor playing Tomie enacting stories from his book "26 Fairmount Avenue."
