After bankruptcy and a mental breakdown, former high-flyer Timothy returns to live with his parents in Wollongong.

Timothy and his family is expecting a French-Canadian male exchange student, that turns out to be an attractive girl, to which Timothy proceeds to make a fool of himself, trying to impress. When Michelle becomes ill from drinking spiked punch at a party, Timothy notices a tattoo while helping her to bed. He foolishly tells a friend about the tattoo, who proceeds to tell the whole school, which does not go down well with Michelle.

Timothy and Gay, orphans from the slums of Boston, escape to Maine in search of a home and manage to thaw Avilda's embittered, grief-stricken heart. A charming pastoral about two unwanted children finding acceptance and love.

A young man decides not to go to college on a baseball scholarship but remain at his summer forest ranger's job. This is Edward Zwick's first short film, which won first place in the student film competition at the 1976 Chicago Film Festival.

Timothy is a young boy living on the streets of Toronto. He must routinely flee and hide from a bully who chases him for “five bucks! five bucks!“ One day, to escape, Timothy hides in a big, battered, antique trunk that he finds in an alley. When he opens the lid and climbs out, he finds himself about one hundred years in the past where the trunk belongs to Zachariah Gibson, a charlatan (with a heart of gold) who sells “elixir“ from a horse-drawn wagon. The short episodes follow the adventures of Timothy and Zachariah, now his friend and unlikely father-figure, as they face different challenges in both the “present“ and the “past“ always travelling between the two time periods through the magic trunk.
