Twenty-one film crews from Mexico to Canada capture the 2024 total solar eclipse, following several groups of people in preparation for this extraordinary event. This immersive cinematic experience explores this magically cosmic spectacle and the collective human awakening it inspired. A film that invokes a profound sense of the sublime: a beauty so unimaginably distant yet deeply rooted in our shared humanity. Even Montréal gets a piece of the spotlight, featuring explorers from the Dorothy Project, local schoolchildren, and crowds gathered on Mount Royal during the unforgettable minutes of the eclipse. One of the most transcendent big screen experiences this year. With the filmmakers and numerous guests present, of course, but also followed by a massive, free cosmic party at the QG - Agora du Cœur des sciences: La nuit sans soleil / Totality Eclipse Party, presented by the Dorothy Project.

A love story set during the Great American Eclipse.

Infusing the contained thriller with the outsized energy of pulp mystery, The Path of Totality follows Grayson Lee - a man condemned to death for a crime he doesn't remember - through the last eight hours of his life.

A unique look at total eclipses, capturing the experience within the scenery of a wide range of settings around the planet, from ancient ruins to city skylines. Totality is constantly growing as a film, as it represents "a lifelong dance with the Moon's shadow". Thus far the film has been shot on location in Venezuela, France, Turkey, China and Easter Island. Mallery also composes the original score for each segment as the film progresses. - Written by Stephany Lu
