Amid a wave of killings, officer Kanchana uncovers activist Satyamurthy's dark truth-he exploits orphans for power and kills Bose to stay hidden. Kanchana exposes him, ending with a haunting reflection on betrayal and lost innocence.

W. A. Mozart's childhood was very busy, connected with constant travelling, full of fame and admiration. His father Leopold, an accomplished musician, led his son purposefully towards the role of child prodigy. However, their travels in Europe were not only associated with success, but also with the family's struggle for subsistence and the mother's eternal fear for the fragile health of her children. And so we follow Mozart's first steps in the world of music to the premiere of his first opera, La finta semplice, which he wrote at the age of twelve.

At the heart of the Plateau Mont-Royal, Roger Toupin owns a corner grocer that has become an impromptu social club frequented by people who belong to a way of life that is fast disappearing. The film captures the touching and revealing last moments of this unique place.

Juhan Liiv, a struggling poet and an unlikely detective, solves gruesome murder cases in Estonia, the Wild West of the crumbling Russian Empire in the 1890s. Investigations take him to miserable dwellings of the local Estonian peasants, luxurious castles of German nobility that have sworn allegiance to the Czar, and to the depths of ancient forests where witchcraft is still practiced. Juhan is fighting crime and his own inner demons. He is considered mad and pronounced crazy. But by standing for justice and truth, at the end of the day, he is the sanest of them all.

An incorporeal Shadow takes up a dangerous adventure through a mystical forest, fancy castle and dream world to save her frivolous owner from a cursed Beast.

The film consists of two short stories. "Shadow" explores the struggle between good and evil within human character and emphasizes the need for an uncompromising stance against wrongdoing. "The Road" condemns those who embody a petty bourgeois mentality in society.
