Within the layers and hidden corners of the unfinished house, the boy experiments with his ability to control things with his mind, despite his guardian’s repeated attempts to mould him into societal norms and suppress what makes him different. The uncle refuses to confront the reality that the boy’s abilities defy self-control, and that the punishments meant to render him “normal” only escalate the tension.
