《一》（2017）聚焦于一位中国移民劳工，他在2001年偷渡来到美国，此后主要在东海岸的不同餐馆工作，被人称作“一仔”。2010年，他因贩毒被美国警方逮捕。之后，他在联邦监狱服刑三年，又在移民监狱服刑一年。由于有贩毒案底，美国政府永远不会给他申请绿卡的机会。在美国政府试图将他驱逐出境时，中国政府以“在中国没有此人档案”为由拒绝接收。当一仔从监狱获释后，他发现自己陷入了无国籍的困境……

围绕人与自然的关系，以中国传统哲学思想中天人合一思想为理论，描绘主角与自然的碰撞，唤起观众对于自然保护的意识与行动，实现人与自然和谐相处。
