Three episodes:
1)The refrigerator aka Il frigorifero:
Gavino Puddu and his wife Adele, proletarians Sardinian residents in a modest basement of Turin , have made great sacrifices to pay in installments a huge fridge capacity of 180 liters, of which, because of their poverty, they only serve to cool the tap water and to arouse the admiration and envy of the neighbors. The two have much hesitation, but all won by fear of losing the refrigerator and the well-being and social affirmation that this is for them. 2)The room aka La Camera:

During their wanderings from place to place both spouses are in contact with the environment of high society, totally unknown to them, and can not help but noticing the arrogance, as well as the spread of drugs and perversions of all kinds . Eventually the police confirmed that it is their right to spend at least one night in the hotel where they had booked, the management seems to be resigned to accept them until a very rich and capricciosissima British girl does not claim for himself, without any valid reason, the room assigned to the column.
Hyacinth, beside himself, unleashes a brawl involving all present and after the intervention of the police is forced to spend a night in jail. 3)The lion aka Il leone:
