This program features Nan Goldin’s celebrated 1996 mid-career photography retrospective at the Whitney Museum of American Art. Goldin’s exhibition filled an entire floor at the Whitney Museum with pictures that chronicle her involvement and fascination with the alternative, “downtown” culture of New York City, Boston, Berlin, Tokyo, etc. Culled from a period that spans more than 25 years of taking pictures, Goldin’s desire to make a visual diary of her friends and lovers, as well as her own life, makes for a moving, highly charged, visual experience. This exhibition was organized by curator ELIZABETH SUSSMAN and selected by NAN GOLDIN and her life long friend and colleague DAVID ARMSTRONG. Included are interviews with NAN GOLDIN and MARVIN HEIFERMAN, a curator/publisher and a director of Lookout in New York City.

The Dreams of William Golding reveals the extraordinary life of one of the greatest English writers of the 20th century. With unprecedented access to the unpublished diaries in which Golding recorded his dreams, the film penetrates deep into his private obsessions and insecurities. His daughter Judy and son David both speak frankly about their father's demons, and the film follows Golding from the impoverished schoolmaster whose first novel, Lord of the Flies, was published when he was forty-three years old, to his winning the Nobel Prize for literature in 1983. Other contributors include Golding's biographer John Carey, philosopher John Gray, writer Nigel Williams, the dean of Salisbury Cathedral, the Very Revd June Osborne and best-selling author Stephen King. Benedict Cumberbatch, who starred in the 2004 BBC adaptation of Golding's sea trilogy To the Ends of the Earth, reads extracts from his books.

The series revolves around Ricardo Oribe (Iván Sánchez), a physically unattractive but successful businessman, dedicated to his family and in love with his beautiful wife Daniela (Angélica Celaya), a young aspiring actress. Ricardo's life takes a turn when his best friend Emilio (Mauricio Islas) betrays him and tries to kill him in order to take over his company and the family he never had. Despite being presumed dead by his family and friends, Ricardo is still alive, but suffering from amnesia. After a course of 15 years, Ricardo goes through several physical changes and recovers his memory.
