影片改编自查尔斯·威尔福德的同名小说。故事讲述1970年的意大利，一名美国艺术评论家(克拉斯饰)与一位正在游历欧洲的女性(德比茨基饰)，前往意大利拜访艺术品收藏家(仍在选角中)时萌生了窃取艺术品的念头。沃肯在其中饰演一名艺术大亨Jerome Debney。
