学院奖，全名学院功绩奖，通称奥斯卡金像奖、金奖、奥斯卡奖或奥斯卡，是每年由美国电影艺术与科学学院组织与颁发，旨在鼓励过去一年间优秀电影的创作与发展的奖励活动，不仅是美国电影业界年度最重要的活动，亦是目前最受世界瞩目的电影奖之一。目前设有20多个不同的奖项，囊括了各种电影类型。

北京时间12月5日距离2018年3月4日的第90届奥斯卡颁奖仪式，还有整整90天，ABC放出了官方宣传视频，宣布届时颁奖仪式会在美东时间当天晚上8点/美西下午5点/北京时间3月5日早上9点开始。与往届一样，颁奖典礼开始之前1个半小时，会有映前节目。吉米·坎摩尔在去年的一片混乱中镇住了场子，今年他依然是主持人，学院也依然继续和普华永道合作。

本届奥斯卡颁奖典礼将于北京时间2013年2月25日（周一）上午9点半在杜比剧院（即前柯达剧院）举行，届时美国广播公司（ABC）将进行现场直播，全球超过225个国家也将进行转播。今年颁奖典礼的主持人是《泰迪熊》导演及主演塞思·麦克法兰。

The 63rd Academy Awards were presented March 25, 1991 at the Shrine Auditorium, Los Angeles. The show was hosted by Billy Crystal. The prominent winner was Dances with Wolves which earned seven Oscars, including Best Picture. Whoopi Goldberg made history in becoming the second African-American actress to ever win an Academy Award (the first being Hattie McDaniel in 1939).
