As a result of the shooting, a 38-year-old operative of the Interior Ministry's investigation department, Sergey Nikonov, receives a severe spinal injury. His legs are paralyzed and he can only move in a wheelchair. To distract himself from his personal tragedy and cope with depression, Sergei arranges at his apartment an informal department for the investigation of crimes.

Tiffany Young of the iconic K-Pop group Girls’ Generation shines in her feature acting debut, bringing lots of emotion and personality to the titular role and offers great chemistry with her co-star Sandor Funtek. With mesmerizing performances from the main cast and Levy’s pulsating cinematic look, NIKO is a love letter to both the romance genre and the city of Seoul.
