Lonely widow Joyce rents out a room in her house and becomes dangerously obsessed with one of her guests.

A house has no function, if it is not lived in; the body has no value, if we do not identify with it; and the heart has no comfort, if it has no love. Sasha is a 28-year-old man. He moved to Israel from the former Soviet Union with his family in 1990, back when he still had his hair in two ponytails. Today, he has nothing more than an old car and a notebook. He tries to understand why. One day, on the road to Tsfat, the first city he lived in after moving to Israel with his family, he comes across an injured fawn and carries it to the local clinic. Between visits to the clinic and time nursing the fawn, Sasha decides to stay in Tsfat. He finds a job, sleeps in his car, visits every house and places he used to spend time when growing up, trying to catch up with his conflicting memories.

Mr. Waterbury in interested in buying a high priced house. Sadie Grimes, the house's owner, invites Waterbury in for a drink. She says the price is nonnegotiable. The place has strong sentimental value for Sadie: her son was killed there over a mysterious bag that has since never been found. She believes the bag contained money which is hidden somewhere in the house. Waterbury says he will buy the house despite its inflated price. Sadie accuses him of being her son's murderer. Waterbury confesses that he is the murderer, but he slumps over dead. His drink had been poisoned.

SYNOPSIS Myung-ja, Mal-soon and Jin-hee trade sex for money on the streets of the redlight district. They greet their customers from a place called The Yellow House. Each has a story to tell, but prefer to forget their pasts. Jin-hee ventures out to the Han River and looks back on her life as she stands on the verge of suicide. Coming from a rich family in a fishing village, she met cameraman Tae-il who promised to make her a star. She loses her innocence to him only to realize moments later that she had been fooled. She met Mutt while wandering around the bus terminal after running away from Tae-il. Mutt hands her over to The Yellow House and from then on she works the nights to survive. Unable to stand her life any longer, she finds herself here at the river. Eun-kyung rescues Jin-hee just as she is about to jump and brings her to the night club where she works. Together with her co-worker Bo-young, they nurse Jin-hee back to health. Eun-kyung is paid a visit by her ex-lover Cheol-min who left her to marry a daughter of a wealthy family. He asks her to get back together telling his dying mother's wishes but she turns him away. Eun-kyung, Bo-kyung and Jin-hee vow to turn over a new leaf but Jin-hee is found and taken back by Mutt. Eun-kyung and Bo-kyung become convinced that Jin-hee has betrayed them.
