Sinjar, Kobanî and Jazaa are three towns that display the most destructive impact of modern war. All three are in the process of being rebuilt at the moment. The people who live here have transformed their tragedies into a determination to leave a better Rojava for future generations. The filmmakers have sought to explore the parallels between fiction and life by including stories told in the sincere words of those who actually experienced them. This is also the first feature film shot, in their own language, by the Rojava Film Commune, established after the revolution by a group of artists from Rojava.
