《故宫珍宝》分为《陶瓷》、《青铜器·玉器》、《法书·碑帖》、《宫廷珍宝》和《绘画》五集，共斟选了北京故宫博物院及台北故宫博物院收藏的135件国家一级文物，从公元前3000年至清朝末年，时间跨度5000多年。这些十分罕见的稀世珍宝，全部是历代帝王至爱的收藏品以及宫廷用品。本片用高清晰数字摄像机拍摄，将这些从未公开展出过的旷世奇珍，清晰而近距离地展示给观众。由北京故宫博物院专家撰写的解说词，详实地讲述了常人未知的历史故事和藏品细节，使本片更具有权威性和收藏价值。

该剧讲述了青花烛台见证了不同年代同名同姓的陆寒亭、吴霜、林月乔、秦重四人的爱情故事，包括明永乐年间、康乾盛世、二十世纪三十年代以及二十一世纪四个时期他们错综复杂的情感纠葛。

Margo is an ex-stripper who meets her long, lost father in Mexico. She looks after him in the waning days of his life, with the help of a traveling projectionist. The father passes away, telling of the loot from a botched bank robbery that he buried years earlier.
