Kendrick Lamar has been spotted filming his film debut with ‘South Park’ co-creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker. A video appeared on social media showing Lamar, Stone and Parker shooting scenes for the upcoming live-action “slave comedy” in California. The project is being kept hush hush, but some details have leaked in recent months. The as-yet-untitled film is said to “depict the past and present coming to a head when a young Black man who is interning as a slave re-enactor at a living history museum discovers that his white girlfriend’s ancestors once owned his.”

They might have found a filmmaker willing to bring their songs and story to the screen. She is now in talks for an untitled film at Universal Pictures with Dave McCary, her husband, in talks to direct. Patrick Kang and Michael Levin, supervising producers of NBC and UTV’s Young Rock, wrote the original spec screenplay for the film. Details on the plot are under wraps. Kang and Levin are repped by Kaplan/Perrone Entertainment, which brought the spec screenplay to Universal. They are also repped by attorney Sean Marks.
