Tom Daley: Diving For Gold, a one-off documentary from independent production company Twofour about the Olympic diver’s professional and personal life in the four years between the 2012 games and the upcoming Olympic games in Rio de Janeiro. Diving For Gold follows Daley as he embarks on the next chapter of his career under new coach Jane Figueiredo, as he challenges for gold in Rio. The documentary also takes a look at Tom’s decision to go public about his sexuality and his relationship with Hollywood screenwriter Dustin Lance Black.

As thousands of athletes prepare to compete on the global stage at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, Olympic gold medallist and double world champion diver Tom Daley wants to shine a light on an issue that he cares passionately about. Some competitors live in fear of horrific brutality inside the countries they represent. With punishments including whipping, life imprisonment and even death, it is illegal to be gay in over half of the 56 member states of the Commonwealth.　　His journey takes him to some of the Commonwealth’s most homophobic countries to ask what the sporting world can do to help. The film culminates with Tom taking a very public stand at this year’s opening ceremony, in a powerful statement against homophobia.　　Travelling from Pakistan, where homosexuality carries a maximum penalty of death by stoning, to Jamaica, where the punishment is 10 years’ imprisonment with hard labour, Tom talks to top male and female sportspeople facing persecution. He also discovers the colonial legacy that first criminalised homosexuality and the toxic influence of slavery on attitudes towards LGBT+ people.

Tom Daley: 1.6 Seconds will chart the diver’s phenomenal success from Tom Daley's first Olympics in Beijing as a 14-year-old to winning gold at Tokyo 2020 to his final olympics appearance last year. It is named after the critical time in 10 metre diving between platform exit and pool entry. Offering an intimate glimpse into his life, Tom Daley: 1.6 Seconds features exclusive footage, personal family films and candid interviews with Daley and those closest to him including mother Debbie Daley, husband Dustin Lance Black, mentor Leon Taylor, his first coach Andy Banks and Jane Figueiredo who coached him to Olympic gold.

汤姆琼斯本为私生子，后被一绅士收养，他天性热情奔放，模样又生得风流俊朗，庄园主的女儿索菲亚同他坠入情网，后遭到表弟比菲尔的插足干涉，一番纠葛之后，声名狼藉的汤姆琼斯决定离开家乡，去外面的世界寻找属于自己的天地。 汤姆离开后没多久，伤心的索菲亚便也踏上了旅途，两人在缘分的驱使之下在一名女商贩的家中重逢了。之后，比菲尔亦来到了伦敦，想要报复汤姆。在比菲尔的阴谋筹划之下，汤姆被送上了绞刑架，就在即将行刑的生死攸关的时刻，索菲亚的父亲及时赶到，破解了比菲尔的阴谋，挽救了汤姆的性命。

这一天，带着博士帽的汤姆雄赳赳气昂昂地站在房子中央。他的旁边是一块黑板，上面画着示意图和说明文字，“老鼠住在洞里，猫抓老鼠”。他拿着教鞭反复陈述这些话，而教授的对象则是一只完全不在状态的灰色小猫。小猫的消极态度令汤姆颇为不满，他不断训斥，谁知杰瑞偷偷爬上黑板，修改了汤姆的教学内容。汤姆愤怒不已，于是命令小猫马上投入实践，抓拿这个闯入课堂的小捣蛋鬼。小猫惟命是从，结果空有一番蛮力，不断遭到戏耍，还阴差阳错成了杰瑞的好朋友，不断学习“猫鼠一家”的新知识。 眼前的一切都令汤姆大为光火，他既要培训小猫的捕鼠能力，还要时刻想办法赶走捣乱的杰瑞……
