Louis Coline assists the head of advertising of a department store in decline. He has little to do, but seems content with his marriage to Nina, his visits to his mother and grandmother, and poker games with friends. When new boss Bernard Malair arrives to turn the store around, Louis fears for his job; but Bernard, with his numbers man Paul and his factotum François, invites Louis into an inner circle of long hours of work, nightclubs, and dinners with an androgynous vamp. Nina objects, but Louis cannot say no to Bernard's demands, no matter how personal. In desperation, Nina leaves Louis, but that drives him further into Bernard's orbit. Cristina (Ioana Bugarin), a 19-year-old nun, as she finds herself at a crossroads in her life. We see her sneaking out of her monastery in order to attend to an urgent matter at a hospital in the nearby city. Unable to solve her problem, she returns in the evening only to meet an unexpected fate on the way back. Later on, we meet a policeman, Marius (Emanuel Pârvu), who is in charge of her case and will retrace her exact steps in his investigation.

Beating out several competitive offers, Legendary has closed an aggressive deal with Mob Entertainment to develop and produce a live-action feature adaptation of Poppy Playtime, a horror video game featuring the toy-turned-monster. Legendary will develop and produce along with Mob Entertainment and Angry Films’ Don Murphy and Susan Montford, who recently finished filming horror movie Faces of Death for the company. Featuring shades of Willy Wonka, Toy Story and Gremlins, the first person video game sees the player acting as a former employee of a faded toy brand who, thanks to a cryptic letter, is drawn back to an abandoned facility only to quickly discover it has become home to a host of toys, including Huggy Wuggy, Mommy Long Legs, and CatNap, that have taken on a life of their own. Players have to decipher clues, solve puzzles and use gadgets to unravel the mystery and get out alive.
