本季是澳版幸存者的第十二季，以「救赎」为核心主题，拍摄于萨摩亚乌波卢岛，24名参赛者集结展开45天的野外生存竞技，最终胜者将赢得50万澳元奖金。本季集结了澳版幸存者往期经典回归选手，也迎来了其他真人秀节目的失意挑战者，所有人都为改写赛场命运、实现自我救赎而来。节目设置了Bounty和Barren两大部落的贫富对抗，还加入了跨部落使用的隐藏免疫偶像、无权力安全卡等全新赛制，每一轮部落会议的投票淘汰都充满反转，体能挑战与策略博弈交织，让这场生存游戏的难度与看点全面升级。
