本片讲述了一对父女之间的温情故事。 父亲（易小星 饰）是一个长期在外工作的上班族，为了养家糊口，他极少回家与妻女相聚。一次，他抽空回家一趟与家人团聚，却发现因为常年不与幼小的女儿接触，她已经快不认得自己的亲爸爸了。他平日的爱好是用DV记录女儿的一点一滴，而当他用DV对准女儿让她叫一声“爸爸”时，女儿却闭口不叫。回家以来，他尽一个父亲的职责，教女儿念书，陪她玩耍，用DV拍下她一颦一笑。然而无论他如何诱导，女儿就是不肯叫一声“爸爸”。几天后，他要再次离开家门，到北京上班。妻子的不理解，对家庭的眷恋，这一切都让他黯然神伤。临走前，女儿冲口而出的一句“爸爸”，让他不禁落泪……
