BBC One’s acclaimed daytime series Moving On, created by multi-award-winning writer Jimmy McGovern, is returning to BBC One and BBC iPlayer for its eleventh series this March, with five powerful and moving new dramas. Important, contemporary issues - from homophobia in sport to prison tags and the nuances of redundancy - are woven into the stories of five ordinary people who have reached a crossroads in their life. In episode two, penned by writer Mandy Redvers Rowe, who is blind, EastEnders’ star Kacey Ainsworth plays Vicky, a woman who has her sight restored - with unforeseen consequences for her and her family. Mark Addy (The Full Monty, A Knight’s Tale, White House Farm) stars in Man Of Steel as rugby league legend Josh, a much-loved local hero who is being blackmailed by his ex-wife; while in Redundant Julie Graham (Shetland, Being Eileen, Survivors) plays Pauline, a woman who won’t be cowed - even when her life is in the hands of a management consultant… Neve McIntosh (Shetland, Doctor Who, Bodies) is a bereaved mother who forms an attachment to a young homeless man in the heartbreaking Home, while in Time Out Tom McKay (Imagine Me & You, Kingdom Come: Deliverance) negotiates a new life and a new relationship - compromised by his prison tag. The five stand-alone episodes will air from Monday 2 March until Friday 6 March on BBC One Daytime, and on BBC iPlayer. All five new episodes were filmed on location across Merseyside and produced by Liverpool-based LA Productions.

School cleaner Pat is appalled to see the man who abused her daughter Rachel over thirty years earlier is still teaching. She wants to report him but Rachel is not keen, given that Pat did nothing at the time. Pat explains her reasons, leading Rachel to confront the man - who denies everything - and to finally do something to exorcise old demons.

Linda and Frank both work as controllers for Kwiker Kabs taxi firm but Frank is too shy to confess his feelings for her. Then smooth-talking driver Terry comes on the scene and starts to date Linda. However Frank discovers that Linda is not the only woman in Terry's life and that he is flat broke and using her for her money. He must decide whether or not to hit her with the truth.

Anne,a middle-aged divorcee,spends her life caring for her mother,Bella,who has Alzheimer's Disease whilst following the progress of her son Chris,who is back-packing across South America. She meets John,also divorced,and they spend time together,letting Anne's married sister Lynne mind Bella. However Bella is used to living with Anne and Lynne tends to use this as an excuse to shirk her responsibilities.When Chris is mugged Anne decides to fly out,with John,to see him and asks Lynne to become Bella's carer for three weeks but Lynne feels that she would be better off in a care home. If Lynne refuses Anne will have wasted her money on the plane fares. Fortunately Bela has a far better understanding of family politics than either sister realises.

On his eighteenth birthday orphaned Afghani refugee Mati gets a letter to say he is to be deported after eleven years in Britain with his foster mother Rosie and her Down Syndrome son George so he runs away to live in the woods. When unfeeling immigration officers come to the house George also runs off but Mati, alerted by Rosie's phone call, locates him. With the police now involved Rosie is forced to take drastic action.

Series of daytime plays set in contemporary Britain, all sharing the theme of someone going through some kind of change in their life.

Married to policeman Steve with two little boys Jo is bored with her existence as a housewife and, when she accidentally shop-lifts, gets a buzz - so much so that she carries on doing it, until she is eventually caught. She spends a day at the police station before she is fined and released without a criminal record but lies to Steve that her failure to collect the children from school was because she fainted and was taken to hospital. Next day he discovers the truth but at least the situation allows her to air her dissatisfaction with her marriage and herald change for the better.
