A father, mother, and son go to visit a chicken farm. The son catches and brings home a chicken. The father plans to eat it if the chicken doesn't lay eggs. The boy aims to save the chicken and comedy ensues.

Produced by Syrian television, this film remains banned in Syria. The inhabitants of Sadad, a village in the Syrian countryside are seduced by promises that chicken farming will make them rich. After they abandon their usual activities, their investment turns to disaster under the watchful gaze of government officials driving Mercedes cars. Under the guise of documenting chicken farms, the filmmaker delivers a scathing critique of his government, and foretells the massive failure of its policies which have brought poverty and hunger to its people. This despite initially being commissioned by Syrian state TV – what were they thinking?! Amiralay does a lot with audio in this – breaking it up, juxtaposing sections, creating eerie silences and interruptions, and the overall machine-like feel of processing that he wants to convey (people as politically manufactured). In that sense, the film is slightly more pessimistic than "Everyday Life…"; Amiralay seems to be despairing at times of people's ability to resist or disrupt the political machinery; everyone is either a small farmer, a big farmer, or a chicken!

Perrault’s fairy tale presented in claymation with choral voices. Bluebeard goes courting, all six of his wives having died. He arrives at the house of a widow with two daughters. He’s greatly feared, but he overcomes objections with a generous dowry. One sister (Anne) refuses him; the other accepts. At his castle, the damsel delights in precious minutes away from Bluebeard in the rose garden. The Saracens declare war; Bluebeard goes off to fight them, leaving the keys to the castle in the damsel’s hands. He warns her not to enter the forbidden room. As war rages, she discovers riches in the castle and then enters the forbidden room. Will Bluebeard discover her act? Can she escape death?
