"Taratata is a tribute to the parades that used to be held on Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day, Quebec's national holiday. These parades were an occasion to honour traditional values or demonstrate progress by way of allegorical floats. Presented each year on June 24 in cities and towns all over Quebec, they gave local musicians and brass bands a chance to display their talents. Children adored the pageant with its splendid uniforms. The day would end with a great fireworks display. I wanted to evoke this popular celebration once again, emphasizing what was charming, ridiculous or pretentious." F.B.

扎登克.盖斯帕若克执导的手绘彩铅音乐动画片《萨蒂迷狂》，全片采用法国乐人萨蒂的钢琴作品串联而成，得名《萨蒂迷狂》。包含大量印象化的、超现实的速写般的卡通动画手段。 第一段是各种走路的人。街上的行人行色匆匆，强调腿部的夸张表现，尤其是残疾特殊人群、婀娜的女性、八字脚等动画片段间的切换和叠加不拘一格。动画帧与配乐的结合比较到位，配乐活泼调皮，给人一种狂放不羁的感觉。 第二段是社交场合上的众生相，各人麻木而呆板，人物表情与配乐一般尴尬而落寞，揭示了人的生活的机械与无趣性。 第三段的主角是水面和雨等柔和物体的虚幻画面，情侣泛舟，在画面上叠加类似水面的波浪效果和雨点特效，手绘效果非常唯美，配乐轻盈飘荡。 第四段的主角是寂寞风骚的女士，空虚的女士周围环绕着丑陋但富有的男性。烟酒、性、药物、贪吃，颓废堕落感悠然而生，角色表情的线条和构图表现都十分高超，配乐起伏富有挫折感，音乐仿佛一把心灵之窗，让主角每时每刻的心情充分的暴露在我们面前。 第五段主要讲述暴力和狂舞。各种美式动作片角色悉数登场，配乐热烈而具爆发力，和第四段形成很大的落差，视觉上给我们造成目不暇接的感觉。 第六段回归平缓，颓废堕落的一切又再继续。不同的是配乐变得缠绵梦幻，堕入幻想的女性似乎要一蹶不振了。主要是速写中加入平面的色彩和几何，短片最后以风起浪涌的一声鸣枪结束。似乎也预示着地狱沉沦的终点。 整部作品是完美的和音乐结合在一起的，里面透露着对人性的反思，透露着对都市生活的讽刺。

本作以死后、聚集了人类的灵魂的不可思议的酒吧“奎因德基姆”为舞台，每同时死亡的两名死者都会根据记忆进行筛选，再作为客人送至不同的酒吧（灵魂裁定处）。而在其中 15F 的”奎因德基姆“酒吧，迎接他们的是拥有一头白发的酒保德基姆和在此处作为助手的黑发女。因为死亡的冲击会导致客人暂时性遗忘自己已死的事实，而德基姆要做的则是：诱导客人们在不知情的情况下参加游戏，使用技巧使客人们的本性暴露出来，并对其进行裁定，是“天堂（即因为有心愿未了等情况送至转生）”或者“地狱（由于人性丑陋而导致虚无，沉于黑暗）”。红脸为地狱,白脸为天堂。游戏的最后，德基姆会说出自己是“裁定者”，在客人裁定结束后也引发了对人性以及生命的思考……随着故事的展开，德基姆以及其他裁定者的身份也渐渐明朗，而一直作为助手存在的黑发女究竟与酒吧有何关系，在背后接近他们的计划又会如何展开……

Muratti was a German brand of cigarettes. Fischinger transforms bunches of standing cigarettes into things that resemble human beings. At first they walk daintily around packages of Muratti tins. Gradually as the film progresses their motions become more graceful, as they do "slides" and other motions and formations associated with dance. The apotheosis of the film is remarkable: Dozens and dozens of cigarettes, arranged in Busby Berkeley-like fashion, repeatedly bow to the horizon, where a giant sun labeled "Muratti" rises in response to to their worshiping activity.
