說起依達的愛情小說《蒙妮坦日記》當年流行市面之時，環球出版社與邵氏電影公司都有意思將之搬上銀幕，結果是由國泰電影公司將之拍成電影，由易文導演，汪玲主演。多年後，導演楊凡籌拍第一部影片時，他原意就是想拍《蒙妮坦日記》，可惜當他想看原著時，此書在市面上竟然絕版！依達手中衹有原書的上、中集兩本（原著分上、中、下三集），因缺少了下集，無法拍成電影。結果，楊凡拍了他的處女作《少女日記》，而並非蒙妮坦的日記。

好莱坞导演维克多（阿尔·帕西诺）已经有些过气，虽然他曾执导过获过奥斯卡奖提名的影片。新片《日出日落》的女主演大牌女明星尼科·安德丝也弃他而去，随后他被前妻——电影公司总裁伊莲·克莉丝汀炒了鱿鱼。就在这时，电脑天才汉克·艾列诺出现了，他送给维克多一套可以设计出高度逼真三维动画虚拟人物的软件。借助程序，维克多创造出了一个完美的女人。因为程序名称叫“虚拟一号”(Simulate One)，于是他便用其缩写西蒙妮（Simone）来给自己的女演员命名。维克多的电影顺利地完成了，并获得了巨大的成功。“西蒙妮”一夜之间成为了大众偶像，拥有无数的疯狂崇拜者。而维克多也再次品尝到了成功带来的的喜悦，全球最受欢迎的明星就被他控制在股掌之间。维克多顺势利用“西蒙妮”制作了第二部电影，引起了更高的热潮。可是局面开始变得无法控制了。在公众欲揭开“西蒙妮”真面目的强烈诉求下，维克多既没有勇气戳破这个美丽的假象，又逐渐难以忍受日益增大的压力。终于他为了摆脱这一切而“杀死”了“西蒙妮”，而他也因此逮捕了。当维克多公布了真相，没有人相信他的话，人们无法接受“西蒙妮”并未真正存在过的事实……

西蒙妮的母亲终日与酒精和药物打交道。她的女儿想要寻求爱和慰藉却无力将母亲解救出来。为了接近母亲，女儿创建了一个属于自己的世界，在这个世界里面她能够影响现实。但是，母女的世界开始混淆起来。何为梦幻何为现实？渐渐地，西蒙妮的母亲迷失在女儿梦幻的世界中……

该片很有想象力，也很成熟，始终保持着一种快的节奏。再也没有像莉坦这样的电影，这可能是让-皮埃尔·莫奇的最好的一部电影。成片充满了的怪异的幽默，荒诞的故事。画面也让人记忆深刻无法忘怀，几百年只为等待找到它。

Khalid then takes an oath to kill Razoulli and the duo combat each other on many occasions but Razoulli have always manages to escape. Meanwhile the brave Sultan takes a fantasy to queen Shehzadi Yasmeen, is made to enter a death race but emerge victorious and in the process abducts Yasmeen but eventually both fall in love.

When a dare pushes two couples into an orgy, suppressed feelings rekindle between the two ladies, who were once bestfriends and lovers.

深柜老爸对儿子隐藏了一生的秘密一步步揭晓，同妻家庭千疮百孔的后遗症也逐步发作。这是一部以直男儿子的视角看待同性恋父亲的电影，背景放在德国的农村，剧情上看类似于《红土地》的续篇，因为约纳坦的父亲当年做出的选择就像《红土地》男主角的选择一样，或者说是《避风港湾》的另一种选择，只是最后，儿子的选择和《避风港湾》的男主角的选择是一样的。
