Boss Chai (Wang Sha) serves as the leader of a group of thieves and skilled pickpockets. One fateful night, his most prized possessions fall into the hands of his senior disciple, Hsiao Hsiang Kung (Ye Feng), a renowned master thief among thieves. The two embark on a series of escapades marked by intense rivalry, crafty betrayals, and occasional partnerships. Amid their adventures, Hsiao Hsiang Kung demonstrates that he is not just a thief but also a compassionate man, assisting the less fortunate and coming to the rescue of distressed damsels.

民国初年，赌坊蓬勃发展，被保安局视为洪水猛兽。保安队张队长假扮年前被杀的赌坊老板的儿子，往钱老板的赌坊要求赌命。因钱老板骗取朱老板的赌坊后，更杀人灭口。张队长赌赢了钱老板，钱不愿将赌坊拱手相让，更打算置他于死地。其后，钱表示愿意与张合作，给予他一半赌坊。但当钱以为张是朱老板的儿子，他决定不留活口。张被活捉，但逃脱了。原来张为负责扫荡赌坊而来，结果钱老板与他的伙计全被保安队带走。

1952年的苏俄还没有褪去战争的阴霾，6岁的桑亚和母亲卡嘉在一列火车上偶遇一位风度翩翩的军人托杨，于是桑亚又有了父亲。 卡嘉非常享受婚姻带给自己的甜蜜，而小桑亚似乎也开始接受这个崇尚武力的继父。但有天他们却发现托杨其实是一个以军人身份做掩护的惯偷。托杨总是带着他们奔走于各地，在一个地方混熟后，便制造机会把邻居家洗劫一空，然后又寻找新的目标。 后来托杨因为盗窃进了监狱，在惟一的一次探访机会中，小桑亚在大雪中追赶着囚车呼喊自己的父亲。 后来卡嘉死于难产，桑亚也进了孤儿院。多年后的一天，当桑亚再一次见到托杨时竟然内心满怀激动，然而此时的托杨已经认不出他来了。

They are presented annually and broadcast live on MTV Networks Latin America. In 2010, the awards were cancelled replaced by the MTV World Stage Mexico.

Piccoli and Schneider teamed up for two of Claude Sautet's best films "les choses de la vie" and "Max et les ferrailleurs" and finally Jacques Rouffio's " la passante du sans-souci" which ,sadly,was to be Schneider's last part. "La voleuse" which is the earliest of their collaborations has fallen into oblivion.Although directed by a French,the action takes place in Germany and ,with the exception of Piccoli,the actors are all German (like Schneider herself) Although based on a melodramatic screenplay,this effort is rather austere filmed in a bleak black and white with a strange use of the wide screen:during the cast and credits ,at the beginning,Schneider mumbles words which the music drowns out and we only understand her last words.We think she is in a shrink's office but she's actually talking with her husband.When she was nineteen ,she gave birth to a child who was taken in by another family.And now she wants her child again,and with the help of the Police,she "steals "(hence the title:= the thief)her boy from his foster parents .The adoptive father is not prepared to accept it and he threatens to commit suicide . The film is rather undistinguished but it has become poignant when you know Romy Schneider's awful fate:she lost her own child and died two years later.With hindsight,"la voleuse" was a frightening omen.
