A film crew from the British Channel 4 TV program “Dispatches” arrives in Grozny in May this year, with authorization from the Russian authorities, to make a film about “the restoration of normal life in the republic", but at odd moments meets up with Chechen field commanders and even films their annual assembly at which they take a decision to extend military operations to the entire territory of Russia.

Начинается без вступления и заставок со страшных кадров, на которых чеченский бандит расстреливает безоружного русского мужчину. Даже не мужчину, а парня, которому на вид лет 23-25, не больше… Стреляет не в голову, а в грудь и живот, так, чтоб помучить жертву, продлить агонию. Понтует перед камерой и перед такими же бандитами, как и он сам. Летом 2001 года в боестолкновении было убито несколько бандитов. Среди них был некий Джамбулат Баутдинов. В принципе, имя это ни о чём не говорит, ибо в Чечне подобной сволочи развелось немерянно. Но при нём была найдена кассета, которая и послужила основой для этого фильма. Как ни странно может показаться на первый взгляд, этот фильм посвящён чрезвычайно важной составляющей любой современной войны – информационной войне.
