A young mother struggling to raise her baby daughter finds the weight of responsibility bearing down on her shoulders in director Henner Winckler's heartfelt tale of love and maturity. Maggy is an eighteen-year old girl who, after giving birth to a baby girl named Lucy, was forced to grow up before her time. Thankfully for Maggy, her mother is always willing to help take care of young Lucy. Though Maggy still lives at home with her mother, it's obvious that the young girl longs to gain the independence needed to strike out on her own. Upon meeting Gordon at a local club, it appears as if she may have finally found the means of doing so. Gordon is a few years older and has his own apartment, and one night, after a heated argument with her mother, Maggy makes the decision to move in with Gordon. Though the pair subsequently makes a sincere attempt to be good parents and do what's best for Lucy, they soon find that taking on the responsibilities of adulthood aren't so easy when you've barely moved past childhood yourself.

Alain's ghost lives in the castle and Sylvie senses his presence, thinks she loves him, and fears that romance from the living will never come her way. Dad prepares a midnight surprise for Sylvie and her party guests: the appearance of the phantom. He's hired an actor, but two young men in love with Sylvie also volunteer to don white robes: Fred, the rich kid who bought the painting, and Ramure, a jewel thief in hiding. The youths declare their love, and Alain's ghost helps resolve all.

Desmond's was a British television situation comedy broadcast by Channel 4 from 1989 to 1994. The first series was filmed in 1988, with the first episode broadcast in January 1989. The show was made in and set in Peckham, London, England and featured a predominantly West Indian cast. Conceived and co-written by Trix Worrell, and produced by Charlie Hanson and Humphrey Barclay,this series starred Norman Beaton as barber Desmond Ambrose. Desmond's shop was a gathering place for an assortment of local characters.
